Leo DiCaprio reportedly cozies up to (another) model while his girlfriend is out of town

Looks like Leonardo DiCaprio got close to a new blond model just in time for Christmas. Sources tell us that the model-loving Oscar winner — who’s most recently been dating Nina Agdal — cozied up to lingerie model Paige Watkins this past week.
On Thursday, DiCaprio — plus his “wolf pack” including Lukas Haas and Tobey Maguire, and a group of models — went to Catch in LA, where a spy told the New York Post DiCaprio and Watkins took a number of smoke breaks together outside.
Later, the group headed to 1Oak, where an eye-witness said things heated up between him and the Florida-born bikini stunner. Agdal is said to be away on a modeling shoot.
“They looked pretty close,” said the source. “She was sitting on his lap, and they appeared to be kissing.”

“There is no confirmation that they are a couple nor were they holding hands,” Watkins rep told the paper. “They are definitely not a couple.”
Watkins has been featured in GQ and was reportedly discovered
while eating at a Mexican taco stand.
DiCaprio has been dating Sports Illustrated model Agdal since June. They were seen together in Tulum, Mexico, last week, where Agdal was doing a beach shoot. They also spent Thanksgiving in Charleston, SC, and vacationed on a swanky and very expensive private island in French Polynesia last month.
Other sources tell the paper that DiCaprio and Agdal are still very much together and have plans to travel to St. Barts over the holidays.
A rep for DiCaprio said, “This story is totally false and completely made up by people claiming to be sources.” A 1Oak rep said, “It’s not true, he was there with all of his boys for a holiday party.”

Ibinabo Fibiresima Regrets Lack Of Real Friends

Nollywood actress and former Actors’ Guild of Nigeria (AGN) president, Ibinabo Fiberesima, was recently released from Kirikiri prison in Lagos. She was charged with reckless driving that killed a man in 2006. She was released on bail but her appeal denied.
In the midst of all the troubles, she shared a photo with a message that showed her feelings on real friends as she was left alone in her time of need.

“Actors Are The Least Paid”- Taiwo Hassan Turns To Farmer

Veteran Yoruba actor, Taiwo Hassan spoke in an interview with Punch News today, August 14th. He talked about the financial pains actors and actresses in Nigeria face. He also expressed that this is the reason for his long absence from Nollywood. Hassan, 56, was once one of the most popular Yoruba actors in Nigeria but has decided to turn to another line of work for his livelihood. Read what he said in the interview:

“I just can’t be chasing some jobs that are not worth it now. Imagine going to Ibadan now on fuel of about N30, 000, the producers don’t usually have the fund to pay for my hotel and I will lodge my personal assistants in hotels as well.  I can’t commit to jobs that are not worth it. It is not every job that one gets to do at a certain stage in one’s life.”
“No marketer can finance a movie project with a large amount of money.  Imagine releasing a movie in the morning by 9am and by 2pm the pirated copies will be out. So, how do we get our royalties or how does the marketer recoup his investment?”
“We solely depend on God’s mercy now, and the goodwill of those who love us. Only few have small businesses of their own. As I speak, some actors are being fed by their wives. A big marketer in the industry told me when he wanted to release a Yoruba movie, some Igbo boys in Alaba told him to settle the pirates so they don’t pirate his movie. That is happening in a lawful society.”
‘”Footballers and musicians make more money than actors. Actors are the least paid.”
Ogogo, as he is popularly known, still remains an actor but said he plans to go into farming.
“My parents were farmers. I have partially started the process of going into farming.”

“I Was Once A Cobbler”- Yoruba Actor, Sanyeri Opens Up On His Journey To Acting

Olaniyi ‘Sanyeri’ Afonja is a household name in Nollywood. He has become one of the most known Yoruba actors with many films under his belt. Sanyeri opened up in an interview about the challenges he faced before he finally made a name as an actor. Read his story:
“The suffering I endured was really extreme. After I finished my secondary school education, I did not have a job so I delved into the theatre world. I did it for some time but I was not being paid even when I went everywhere with the group and was helping them carry their costume.”

“I had to learn how to repair shoes so I became a shoe cobbler. Eventually, I left Oyo town and came to Lagos to find greener pastures but still I was not earning anything from acting.”

“I became a mobile cobbler. I would put my materials in a wooden box, place it on my shoulder and start hitting it as I walked the length and breadth of Idumota.”

“I would constantly hit my wooden box as I walked about to call the attention of people. Then nobody knew me so I kept hitting my box all over Idumota.”

“I remember I had a handkerchief I used to cover my face because of my tribal marks.”

“The reason I concealed my tribal marks was because the Igbo boys at Idumota had the belief that if they did not give their shoes to a Ghanaian cobbler, no one could do a better job.”

“If they saw my tribal marks, they would think I was one of the touts that would normally come to disturb them for money for shop and they would not give me their shoes to repair.”

“When I saw that being a shoe cobbler was affecting my career as an actor, I had to quit and face acting squarely. I thank God that good fortunes have come my way.”

GEORGE MICHAEL DEAD AT 53 THE POP STAR REPORTEDLY DIED PEACEFULLY AT HIS HOME IN ENGLAND

George Michael has died at age 53, according to the BBC. The pop star reportedly "passed away peacefully" on Christmas Day at his home in Oxfordshire, England. Initial reports suggested "no suspicious circumstances."
Wham!, the pop duo founded by Michael and school friend Andrew Ridgeley, found international success early on with 1984's high-gloss, ultra-catchy "Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go." Michael was the group's primary creative force and de facto frontperson, and by 1986 he had left Ridgeley behind for a solo career.
He went on to become one of the defining pop stars of the late 1980s, scoring major hits (and nonstop MTV airtime) right away with "I Want Your Sex" and "Faith," both from his 1987 solo debut. His 1990 follow-up, Listen Without Prejudice Vol. 1, was a defiant rejection of what he saw as pop shallowness — Michael famously refused to appear in the video for "Freedom '90" — but it only made him more famous and beloved.
Michael released four more albums, most recently 2014's live Symphonica, but his musical output in the second half of his career was often overshadowed by his legal problems. His voice nonetheless maintained a steady presence on pop radio — particularly around Christmas, with Wham's 1986 hit "Last Christmas," but also year-round with 1984's "Careless Whisper." He remains a signature star of the MTV era and one of the most important gay icons of the 20th century. He will be missed.
